Use case

Crisis communication that does not depend on email

In a crisis, the two things you cannot afford are a channel that is down and a message you cannot prove was read. Nuntivo is a separate path to every screen, with an audit trail.

The problem

What breaks first when a crisis starts

Crisis plans assume the tools will be there. Often they are exactly what is unavailable.

🔌

The usual channel is compromised

Ransomware, a mail outage, a network partition: the first casualty is frequently the very system your crisis plan relies on to broadcast instructions.

👀

An unread instruction is not an instruction

A notice sitting in an inbox is not a notice that changed anyone's behaviour. During an evacuation or a lockdown, that difference is the whole point.

📝

Afterwards, you will be asked to prove it

Insurers, regulators and internal reviews all ask the same question: who was informed, when, and how do you know? A sent-items folder is a weak answer.

How it works

A channel you can rehearse and rely on

The mechanism is deliberately simple, because a crisis is the wrong moment to discover a complex tool.

1

Prepare the messages before you need them

Evacuation, site closure, cyber incident, severe weather: save each one as a template with its wording, colour and target group already set. On the day, it is two clicks.

2

Broadcast to the whole fleet or one site

Composite groups let you define "everyone on the Lyon site except the night shift" once, and reuse it. Targeting is by machine, OU or directory group, so it stays accurate as people move.

3

Keep the audit trail

Every dispatch records the recipients, the display time per workstation and the acknowledgements. Export it for the post-crisis review without reconstructing anything from memory.

On screen

A crisis message on the desktop

Full-screen, always on top, with a mandatory acknowledgement that cannot be dismissed by accident.

Evacuation — Building B
Leave the building immediately by the nearest marked exit. Assembly point: north car park. Do not use the lifts. Wait for the all-clear before returning.
Ready to send

The scenarios worth preparing now

Each one is a saved template with its own audience and colour.

Evacuation or lockdown
Red pop-up, always on top, mandatory acknowledgement, no auto-close. Sent to the machine groups of the affected site only.
Cyber incident
Instruction to disconnect, stop opening attachments or shut down a specific application — sent over a channel that is not the compromised mail system.
Severe weather or site closure
Scheduled the evening before where possible, repeated as a ticker in the morning for people already on site.
All clear
Green pop-up, short, no acknowledgement. Ending a crisis message properly matters as much as starting it.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is this a mass notification system for SMS and phone calls?

No, and it is honest to say so. Nuntivo covers the Windows workstation. If your crisis plan also needs SMS and voice for people away from a desk, keep a dedicated tool for that layer — Nuntivo covers the people who are sitting in front of a screen, which the SMS tools cover badly.

Can a message be sent by someone who is not an administrator?

Yes, with the validation workflow: a communications officer prepares the message, a designated approver releases it. Approval can require a one-time code, and delegation covers absences.

How fast does it actually reach the screens?

The agent polls frequently and displays within seconds of a dispatch on a running workstation. There is no mail queue, no relay and no user action in between.
