Use case

Send a message to any desktop, instantly

Nuntivo lets you send a message to a single desktop, a group of machines, or every PC on your network. It appears on screen within seconds — as a pop-up window or a scrolling banner — with no email and no chat app. You see exactly who has read it.

🖥️

One PC or the whole network

Send a message to a single computer by name, a group of machines, an Active Directory OU, or every desktop at once.

On screen in seconds

A pop-up window in the middle of the screen, above other apps, or a discreet scrolling ticker. Offline PCs get it at the next login.

Proof it was read

Require an explicit read receipt: the close button stays disabled until the box is ticked — timestamped, workstation by workstation.

How it works

How to send a message to a desktop in 4 steps

1. Enroll the PCs

Install the lightweight Windows agent with one multi-use enrollment code — by GPO, MSI or manually. No server to host.

2. Write the message

Compose it in the web console, choose a pop-up alert or a scrolling ticker, add your logo and a read receipt.

3. Pick the targets

One machine, a group, an Active Directory OU, or the whole fleet for a mass notification.

4. Broadcast

The message lands on the targeted desktops within seconds, and you track delivery and reads live.

Scope

One PC, one team, or every workstation

The same composer covers a note to a single machine and a broadcast to the whole company.

A single workstation
Pick the machine by name and send. Useful when the helpdesk needs to reach a user whose phone goes unanswered, or to confirm a remote intervention is finished.
A team or a department
Select an Active Directory group or an organisational unit. Membership follows the directory, so a message to "Finance" stays correct when someone joins or leaves.
A site, minus an exception
Composite groups combine and subtract: the whole plant except the offices, every laptop except the night shift. Defined once, reused every time.
Everyone
One dispatch to the entire fleet, displayed within seconds on every running machine. No distribution list to keep up to date.
Behind the scenes

What happens between the click and the screen

Three moving parts, none of which sits on your infrastructure.

1

The agent asks, nothing pushes

Each workstation polls Nuntivo over outbound HTTPS. There is no inbound port to open, no server to expose and no firewall exception to argue about with the security team.

2

The render is decided by the workstation

The agent holds the same stylesheet as the web preview, so what you saw when composing is what appears on screen — no client-side reinterpretation.

3

The result comes back

Delivery, display time and, if you asked for one, the acknowledgement are reported per machine. That is what turns "sent" into something you can actually check.

FAQ

Sending messages to desktops — FAQ

How do I send a message to all computers on my network?

Install the Nuntivo agent on the PCs, then choose "whole fleet" as the target and broadcast: every online desktop shows the message within seconds, and offline machines get it at the next login.

Can I send to a machine that is currently switched off?

Yes. The message waits and appears when the session next opens. If it is only relevant for a limited window, set an expiry so an obsolete notice is never displayed.

Do users need an account?

No. The agent is enrolled once per machine and holds its own revocable token. Employees never sign in and never see a login screen — only the message.

Can I send a message to one specific PC?

Yes — target a single machine by hostname, a group of machines you define, directory users and OUs from Active Directory, or the entire fleet.

Does it work without Active Directory?

Yes. Off-domain and workgroup PCs work too; they are targeted by machine or group. Active Directory is optional and only adds OU/user targeting.

How is this different from email or Microsoft Teams?

The message appears directly on the desktop, on top of other windows or as a banner, so it can't be missed or buried in an inbox — with a timestamped read receipt per workstation.
